Lynnwood Citizen Gives The Captain "Madagascar" Penguins His Swagger

Lynnwood citizen Tom McGrath, one of the largest Dream filmmakers and animation, and the moon lights the official voice of the captain, and one of the penguins from "Madagascar" movie franchise / TV. You'll hear him again in the upcoming film "Penguins of Madagascar." Tom McGrath has discovered that children believe the captain, and difficult, and the penguin does not make sense that he expressed for the first time in the 2005 animated hit "Madagascar," is real.

"That is the curse of being a voice," said McGrath, who embodies the bird with a penchant for cheezy Dibbles in 3-D animated comedy "The Penguins of Madagascar," which opens 26 November (review will be published in seattletimes com / movies on November 25, It will appear in print plus weekend on November 28.). When he performed the voice of the captain of the children McGrath, "They feel really scared. It's like taking the character of the theme park from the head of their uniforms. It breaks the imagination. So I have to go behind the door and do it!"

The soft-spoken, elegant McGrath (50 years) was never supposed to play a captain. It's not even an actor, but one of the most important directors in the DreamWorks Animation. He co-directed by Eric Darnell, "Madagascar" and two sequels. He went solo as a director in 2010 with "MegaMind." McGrath had grown up watching movies in the original book, Lynnwood starring John Wayne tough men, Charlton Heston and Robert Stack and the perception of the stack ("Untouchables," "Unsolved Puzzle") and the voice of the commander of a band of very comical penguins stealth.

Darnell and McGrath finally got the green light in 2003 to hire Stack, but Stack died in May of that year. McGrath was recording a voice in what is called an initial zero track. "People are accustomed to do to me that voice. We knew it worked when we examine it." It was not long before, said CEO of DreamWorks Jeffrey Katzenberg to him: "You got part of it, baby."

He is not the only way the animation play one of the penguins elusive. Chris Miller, who directed the 2011 "Cat in Boots", is Kowalski, the mastermind of the group, and animation editor Christopher Knights is an adorable young private, who wants to be more than a mascot. Rico, an expert demolition of the squad, is mute (in the sense that he does not speak, it makes a lot of noise).

Although they were relatively minor - but pivotal - the characters in "Madagascar," Penguins proved to be a comedy star. However, they were not included in the consequences, she also starred in their own popular Nickelodeon series "The Penguins of Madagascar." "These are the little guys with big personalities," said McGrath, adding with a smile, "are men who see the world in black and white. Every film, people love penguins better because they were pure comic relief."

It was inevitable that they will get their own movie. "Penguins of Madagascar" Penguins find work with a north wind called elite secret group, which helps animals that can not help themselves. Their mission is to thwart the evil Dr. Octavius salt water, which carries a deadly grudge against all penguins. Benedict Cumberbatch plays the leader of North Korea, the wind, John Malkovich is salt water, and director Werner Herzog has a cameo voice. Darnell and Simon J. Smith directed comedy spy.

McGrath was surprised to discover how it has evolved since the master of "Madagascar."

"It's a lot of fun now," he said. "It was really dry character and actually, respectively, in the first one. All they did was bark orders. I think a lot of like, poor man Charlton Heston kind of crept in over the years. You've got this smarmy guy who is kind of like all swaggery and stuff." The Penguins of Madagascar to change the release date of the film is set on an earlier date. Decided DreamWorks Animation to switch two major releases in the movie - "Home" and "Penguins of Madagascar".

Now will be released to the occasional hit movie "Madagascar" in the November 26, 2014, which was originally intended to "Home", while the latter will now be released on March 27, 2015. The release of Chief Marketing Officer, DreamWorks Animation and fees Dawn Taubin statement explaining the shuffle: "We will continue to be flexible to the extent necessary when it comes to our release dates. "We are confident that this switch gives the date of the next versions of both our greatest opportunity for success," added Taubid. The Penguins of Madagascar is a spin-off from the movie Madagascar film franchise. The film lives Penguins captain, Kowalski, Rico and in their own spy adventure movie with a touch of comedy.

The cost DreamWorks Animation to award-winning actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and John Malkovich (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) to provide voices for the characters in the new film inspired by Madagascar. According to a report wrap, Cumberbatch will lend his voice to a high level of animal agent and CIA redundant Malkovich, who will play the charming villain. The Penguins of Madagascar cast is in high demand these days, what he was hearing the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch as the crackling of each dragon Smaug and the Necromancer in "The Hobbit," Peter Jackson consequences. I've also been tapped to play it as Julian Assange in "The Fifth Estate," as well as "12 Years a Slave" and "August: Osage County"

Malkovich on the other hand, previously expressed a role in Robert Zemeckis' Beowulf. "Currently he can be seen in "Red 2." He recently produced "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and Diego Luna, "Chavez," starring Michael Pena on behalf of the famous labor leader. It is scheduled to film animation 3D, which features witty penguins, released on November 26, 2014. He will join Cumberbatch Malkovich and Tom McGrath, Chris Miller, John DiMaggio, Christopher Knights.
